THE first female footballer to feature in this series and she’s certainly deserving of all the praise she gets.
Crawley was one of the heroes of the Ynys Môn Women’s side who earned silver medals at the Island Games tournament on home soil in 2019. The attacker was Karen Williams’ team’s top scorer and the tournaments leading scorer with five goals to her name.
That sort of form stood her in good stead to enjoy another fine campaign with Amlwch Town Ladies in the 2019/20 campaign.
She was one of the top scorers for the club in North Wales Women’s Football League Division Two as she found the back of the net 16 times in the league and 20 times in all competitions.
That haul of goals helped Amlwch on to being crowned Division Two champions ahead of a league re-structure for the Women’s Leagues when the next season can begin safely.
Crawley will no doubt prove to be a vital component for Amlwch once more when it does so, as the club will take part in the brand-new Premier Division alongside Airbus UK Broughton, Bethel, Connah’s Quay, Llanfair United, Llandudno and Rhyl 1879.
