A FATHER and son duo starred for Llanrug United in their latest North Wales Coast West Premier win over the weekend.
Eifion Williams’ side have had a decent campaign of it in tier four and will either finish in 7th or 8th place in the table depending on how their last three matches pan out.
On Saturday, April 30, Llanrug enjoyed a 5-0 victory away at bottom-of-the-table Gaerwen.
Among the goalscorers were Kevin Lloyd (2), Matthew Roberts, Owain Jones and former manager David Noel Williams aka ‘Charlie’.
What was interesting about this match though was that the latter’s son – 16-year-old Osian – was also on the pitch at Maes Merfyn.

41-year-old David came off the bench to score in the 88th minute with Osian playing the full 90.
Defender Osian has made 13 appearances for Llanrug United in the Premier Division this season and even scored two goals in a 5-2 win over Menai Tigers last month.
David, who was previously manager of the club, has made well over 400 appearances for Llanrug during his playing days and is considered something of a legend at Eithin Duon.

The 5-0 win v Gaerwen took Llanrug United up to 38pts in the table, with 3 league matches left to play against Mynydd Llandegai (home match tonight), Penrhyndeudraeth (home on May 7) and Glantraeth (home on May 10).
