IT WAS great news for the Tigers in 2020 as one of the club’s greatest forwards of recent times returned.
And, despite no competitive football action having been played for the last year and a half, it’s fair to say that Dean Redmond has already shown that he’s more than ready to return to red hot form for the Tigers in the friendlies played before Christmas.
During the latter part of 2020, he smashed in two goals in the Tigers’ 7-1 win over Llanfairpwll, as well as goals against Talysarn Celts and Llangoed among others as he looked really sharp in front of goal.
The former Beaumaris Town man’s best spell for the Tigers came back in 2017/18 when he fired in 39 goals as the club won a Gwynedd League and cup double.
And that form continued last season for Redmond as he scored 17 goals in all competitions for Welsh Alliance One outfit Bodedern Athletic.
But, having finished the season as Boded’s top scorer, Redmond will now come up against them when the 21/22 campaign starts up as the Tigers will face off against Ricky Williams’ side in the new-look North Wales Coast West Premier Division.
Such is his prowess in front of goal that he could single-handedly fire the Tigers up that league when it kicks off and, with him in their side, Aaron Rowlands’ side should certainly be challenging for the title.
