A FORWARD who has been a great goal-getter for Prestatyn over the years – including in Wales’ top-flight.
Having spent two years at the club, where he was a key member of the 2016/2017 Cymru Alliance title winning side, Kenny moved on to pastures new with Connah’s Quay and Cefn Druids in the JD Cymru Premier.
However, the summer of 2019 saw him move back to Bastion Gardens alongside a host of other former Prestatyn players including Michael Parker.
Those kinds of signings proved to be crucial for Neil Gibson’s side as they went on to win the 2019/20 JD Cymru North title.
29-year-old Kenny, who also played for Rhyl in the top-flight previously, proved to be a key player in that success as he scored several vital goals during a memorable campaign which also saw the Seasiders reach the JD Welsh Cup semi-final.
With football below the top tier put on hold in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and with Prestatyn denied promotion from JD Cymru North, Kenny was one of several players to depart the club for the JD Cymru Premier.
But unlike most who left for Flint Town United, who were promoted at the expense of Prestatyn, the attacker opted for a switch to the Oval with Caernarfon Town in October 2020, where he was reunited with former manager Huw Griffiths – who he played under at Cefn Druids.
Since returning to the top-flight with the Cofis, Kenny has netted two goals in eight matches for Caernarfon who currently sit fifth in the JD Cymru Premier table with the season on hold.
