AFE’s Stars of the 2019/20 season: Jordan Davies (Prestatyn Town)

A SUPER talented forward who was in great form throughout for JD Cymru North champions Prestatyn Town in a second spell with the club last season.

25-year-old Davies previously played for the Bastion Gardens outfit before leaving at the end of the 2016/17 campaign, having scored 27 goals in a season in which they won the then-Huws Gray Alliance (now the Cymru North) and returned to the top-flight in the process.

He then had spells with Nantwich Town and Market Drayton before returning to North Wales with Prestatyn in the summer of 2019.

And that proved to be a wise decision for Davies, who previously played Futsal for Wales, as he was a key player for the club who finished 16 points clear at the top of the JD Cymru North table at the end of the season.

The Wrexham-born forward banged in double figures in terms of goals and made it into the JD Cymru North Team of the Season too as the champions were eventually denied promotion to the top-flight on ground criteria rules, with runners-up Flint going up in their place.

Having been linked with a move to Port Vale last summer, Davies eventually switched to Telford United who play in the National League North. He has so far scored four goals for the club.

Over the years, he’s scored around 75 goals in tiers one and two in Wales and has proved to be a fantastic player.
