A WINGER who has been a really underrated player in the Anglesey League over the past few seasons in my opinion.
Back when I first started covering the league in 2017/18, Winter was influential as Bod reached their first ever cup final (Elias Cup). And although they would go on to lose that final v Arriva Bangor on penalties, he was on the scoresheet on what was nevertheless a historic day for the club.
Having hit double figures for Bod in the 18/19 season, Winter re-signed for the club for 19/20 and had become a vital component within Dave and John Webster’s side by then.
The 23-year-old, who also plays for Bangor University’s men’s team, notched up four goals for the club before moving onto pastures new with Danny Jones and Paul Matier’s Pentraeth Reserves in January.
He bagged two more goals there before the Coronavirus pandemic put an end to the season.
A tricky player who’s got a great left foot on him, Winter recently returned to Bodorgan where he will no doubt once again play a big role when a new season begins.
