YET ANOTHER quality player in Darren Garmey’s side who truly showcased what he could do for the Welsh Alliance champions last season.

A versatile player who can play as both a defender and a midfielder, 20-year-old Ashworth is a top talent as 2019/20 showed.

He spent his early days as a player with local clubs and also represented his country at youth level. Upon turning 17 years old, he signed a professional contract with the then Cymru Premier champions The New Saints.

A return to North Wales saw Ashworth play for Bangor City before he arrived at Hotspur in December 2018.

And during his time with the club, he was superb – notching eight goals in all competitions last season – making him one of the top scorers as Hotspur won Welsh Alliance One.

The talented Ashworth has now moved on to Gwynedd League champions Bangor 1876 where he will no doubt proved to be a classy player once more with his brilliant work rate, great vision and eye for goal.
