A FANTASTIC midfielder who’s always been a big part of any team he’s played for since I’ve covered local football.
Whether he was with Valley, Bryngwran (now Trearddur Bay) Bulls or Caergybi over the last three or four seasons, Kontodios has constantly been a real talent.
After singing for Bryngwran Bulls from Valley ahead of the 2018/19 season, the central midfielder went on to be a vital component for Richard Owen’s side who won the Anglesey League and the Elias Cup.
And it was very much because of Kontodios that the Bulls won that cup – as he put in a Man of the Match performance and scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Arriva Bangor.
After the Bulls moved up to the Gwynedd League in 2019/20, Kontodios moved onto fellow promoted side Caergybi who he once again stood out for as he netted four goals from midfield and put in some brilliant performances for Dale Moffat’s side.
For me, he’s a complete midfielder who’s got great vision, a tireless work rate and can also score a great goal too. Not to mention, he’s never afraid to get stuck in and fight for his side either.
Kontodios has now moved onto Trearddur Bay Bulls in the North Wales Coast Premier Division (Tier Four) where he has already impressed once more in recent friendlies.
