FORMER Welsh Premier League winner with Bangor City who joined the newly-formed but formidable Bangor 1876 who stormed their way to the Gwynedd League title in their debut season.

Johnston, centre back and captain fantastic for the club, was a hugely important factor in its first season success. The fact they only conceded nine goals in the 16 league games they played speaks volumes.

His experience and leadership proved invaluable to the younger players at 1876 and he proved his class time and time again in the heart of their defence. He even popped up with three goals along the way too.

Once a fan favourite at City, Johnno is now a firm fave at fan-owned 1876 and equally his passion for the club is clear to see.
