THIS man is a player who really doesn’t get the mention he deserves at times.
Carl Jones was player-manager at Nefyn in 2019/20 and also finished up as the clubs top goalscorer with an impressive 30 goals by the end of the season.
‘Cacan’, as he’s known, was once a pro with Cardiff City before going on to play with Bangor City, Porthmadog and Pwllheli. His wealth of experience has benefited Nefyn to no end.
The attacker’s season started off with a brace against Bethesda, before he bagged a hat trick against Llanystumdwy just a week later. A particular highlight for him came in the clubs first round tie in the Bob Owen Memorial Shield, as he hit five goals in a 7-2 win over Caergybi.
He’s a fantastic player and coach who will no doubt be hugely influential to any progress that Tier 4 side Nefyn make in the not so distant future.
