AFE’s Stars of the 2019/20 season: Konner Druce (Trearddur Bay Bulls)

UNDOUBTEDLY the best goalkeeper below tier three in North Wales last season, Druce established himself as a top, top player between the sticks with the Bulls.

Having previously been a winger with both Caergybi and Valley Athletic in the Anglesey League in 2017/18 (where he scored 24 goals!!), Druce made the switch back to being a GK with the then Bryngwran Bulls a season later.

That would prove to be a fantastic decision from the player and for the club as Richard Owen’s side finally won the Anglesey League and earned promotion to the Gwynedd League after years of going so close previously.

The season after would prove to be an even better for one Druce as he enjoyed a fine season which saw The Bulls finish fourth in their first ever season in the GL and he was deservedly chosen as the leagues Player of the Season for his efforts.

His reactions and passion for the game know no bounds and he’s now moved on to tier four side Bodedern Athletic where he will almost certainly thrive under the guidance of the brilliant Ricky Williams.
